Scott McIntyre, CSI
Senior Colourist & Finishing Artist - Toronto
Colour grading is where irreversible decisions meet tight schedules.I’ve been in that room since 2014.
Experience
I regularly complete shows with 1,400–2,200 shots, working within tight schedules without sacrificing creative intent. Broadcast series, documentary, long-form. The scale changes, the discipline doesn’t. Two nominations for the Canadian Society of Cinematographers Award. Same frame-level discipline regardless of format or budget tier.
Selected Credits
Dragons’ Den – Season 15-20, CBC
Drag Brunch Saved My Life – Crave Original
All-Round Champion – TVO Kids
Project Rube – TVO
Making Canada’s Team – CBC Sports
Pipeline & Approach
My work is built around DaVinci Wide Gamut / Digital Intermediate workflows. Scene-referred, HDR-first, with SDR trim as a deliberate design step rather than an afterthought. I work in DaVinci Resolve with film-informed colour science: structured grain, perceptual saturation allocation, and highlight integrity as a baseline assumption. I choose tools based on story and delivery requirements. Film emulation, traditional correction, and modern HDR mastering are the same discipline. The delivery format doesn’t change the approach.
Remote Grading
Remote workflows carry the same pressures as in-room finishing. Secure, colour-managed pipelines across time zones. Available across Canada and internationally.
